AIO's, fitted, covers, contours, prefolds..... Are you lost yet?
I'm referring to the world of Cloth Diapering (and the "lingo" that seems to be a large part of it) in case you were wondering.
After months of wanting to try cloth diapering, I finally convinced Chris to put his fears aside and let me try it. I started my journey by doing hours of endless research on all of the different options, colors, sizes and brands. I eventually found myself on Ebay, where I found (or thought I did..) a steal. $7.00 for a Medium purple Yucky Duck AIO!
Of course, I purchased it and then did research only to find that it hasn't exactly received the best of reviews. I guess all we can do now is wait for our Yucky Duck to arrive and then decide for ourselves whether it's worthy of staying in our "stash", as they call each Mama's CD collection, or if it'd be better off used as a play diaper for the dollies.

Umm, it's been a while.
Okay, so maybe I wasn't so good about keeping up here? Sadly, It's been almost a year since I began "blogging". I'm claiming that I still blog, so I guess I better get to it! I now have our blog bookmarked, so hopefully that will be enough to keep me from forgetting to check in and update somewhat-regularly.
What's new in our world? We moved 464 miles from NW Montana where we've lived for the past 6 yrs - forever. We've adjusted to life in the big city of Billings and are very thankful for the wonderful opportunity that Chris was given when he accepted a job offer from Knife River in the beginning of June.
Christian and Skylar are now attending Alkali Creek Elementary which, in a word, is...strange. They love the school, their teachers, and are gaining friends with each passing day. They will both be starting YMCA Flag Football next weekend - Fall is officially on the doorstep!
Bailey has been telling me for weeks how she is ready to be a big girl and go to school like "her boys". We've recently joined the YMCA so I have plans to check into preschool there when I get the chance, and sign her up providing it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Maybe we'll just look into some "Jumpstart Preschool" CD's so she can get some extra practice with her numbers and letters and then get some social interaction if we ever find the time to participate with our local Mommies group again.. We'll see.
Sidney continues to whirl around the house like a tiny tornado. She rarely sits down, and her petite body seems to show it! At 18 months old she weighs in at a whopping 18.8 lbs! We've been trying to 'fatten her up' since her appt a month ago, so cross your fingers that we have more than a 1-lb increase at our weight check in November!
Mommy continues to try to keep up: keep the laundry washing, the floors as clean as possible, the fridge and cupboards stocked and the family happy. It's truly a never-ending job, but one that I would never give up.
